Once Alex and I started making DIY seasoning blends: we didn't look back! There are so many tasty spice blends: taco, fajita, Cajun, Italian, Greek (a favorite), and even ranch seasoning for dressing and dip! Ready to mix?

And now…the best homemade seasoning blends!

How long to store homemade seasoning mixes

You can store your homemade seasoning blends in an airtight container for6 months to 1 year. Of course, they're best when they're the freshest. Spices generally last in a cool, dry place for 8 months to 1 year. You can use this spice blend to add new life to spices that you've had for a while.

Best jars for spices

How to store your seasoning blends once you make them? Get some reusable jars with screw on tops. Here are best jars for spices that we've found! They have nice wide tops so your measuring spoons can fit in easily. We use the 4-ounce containers in our spice cabinet.

Need spice organization tips? If your spice cabinet is always overcrowded (like ours!), go to How to Organize Your Spices…the Minimalist Way. You can see our spice jars in action.
